What inspired The Elevate Festival?
Today’s tween girl has a lot to contend with. Studies show they are more stressed and anxious than ever. We don’t want our girls to disappear into themselves to deal with these modern-day pressures.
The Elevate Festival is a chance to bring tween girls together and show them they are not alone. It will give them the confidence and tools they can draw on when faced with challenging periods and feelings before they hit a roadblock.
The Elevate Festival is part of Elevate, a mentorship programme designed to support girls as they go through the highs and lows of adolescence.
For more information on the Elevate Programme go to www.elevate-ra.com.
Who founded the Elevate.RA Brand?
Elevate.RA was founded by Ramita Anand. Mother to teenagers, teacher and author, Ramita has 20+ years’ experience in education where she’s worked in leadership roles across Science & Maths as well as Learning Enrichment in schools located in Vancouver, New York, and London.
During her time in schools, Ramita became aware of the daily emotional challenges young girls were facing as they entered adolescence. Friendships, social media, biological changes and lack of confidence meant a lot of girls were not equipped to deal with the challenges that faced them.
To support girls on their journey, Ramita wanted to build a programme which proactively intercepts during the change from child to tween and help girls build resilience, tools and techniques they can draw on when they enter their teenage years.
Is skateboarding safe?
Have all adults working at The Elevate Festival been DBS checked?
Will The Elevate Festival be publicised on social media? Will you be using photography for marketing? What happens if I don’t want my child’s image to appear on social media?
We will be publishing photos from The Elevate Festival on our social channels but if you don’t want your child to appear please tick the box marked “I do not give consent” at the time of registration and we’ll ensure both you and your child doesn’t feature in any of our marketing materials.
How will your event cater for disabled / wheelchair access?
Do I have to take part in every activity?
